Epilogue Aversion
So I have this idea for a completely canon-compliant Harry/Draco fic. I mean completely, as in including the Epilogue. And I keep trying to write it. Even more, I am writing it for a fest with a deadline fast approaching. Only I keep literally choking on the DH's epilogue. I absolutely hate it and rereading it doesn't make it better. There are those who have written really amazingly analysis of what is wrong with the last chapter of the Harry Potter saga and I am not going to do that here. For now, let me say that the thing is so artificially sweet it makes me gag. Not sweet like really good ice creams or quality chocolate. Sweet like aspartame sweet -- cloyingly artificial and you know it's unnatural and can cause seizures in some people.
