1. I probably drink more hot tea in a day than most Americans drink in a year. Minimum of a pot of black tea, with cream and sugar, every day. (Draco, when I write him, drinks his tea like I do.)


2. I did not like the Harry Potter books when I read the first couple to my child. (I found the themes dark, violent and not handled well for small children. They work for better for adult fiction, IMHO.)


3. I over research everything I write. I have been known to read three full non-fiction books just to get one scene in a book correct. I own books on hundreds bizarre topics including on torture, anatomy, bdsm, bear attacks, mythology, baby names, criminal investigations, etc. The list of books I have ordered on Amazon is pretty frightening.


4. I write everyday, seven days a week. I have probably missed less than two weeks worth in the last two years and that usually due to my illness or someone in my family. (Fans who makes jokes about locking me in a room to write all the time get snorts from my partners who say, “She does that anyway, you going to bring her the tea?”)


5. I wear through keyboards at a frightening rate. I have had to replace my keyboard four times in the last two years. I just type that much. I currently use one of the top of the line, Bluetooth wireless backlit keyboards and within three months of buying it, I had already worn the painted letters off half the keys. I have to keep my fingernails short just to minimize the damage.


6. I spell better in British than in American, yet I have only ever been to England once and that was for a six hour layover between there and another country. (I spent the time riding around in one of those double-decker tour buses so I could cover more ground.)


7. I do believe in magic. Just not the Harry Potter kind. I am Pagan and believe the universe is divinity embodied.


8. I am openly polyamourous (and bisexual). I and my two bisexual husbands have been together longer than most marriages will ever last. I am only legally married to one, but all three of us have taken public vows to each other and are recognized as married by most our friends and family.
